Kodak EasyShare CX6200 2MP Digital Camera

Kodak EasyShare CX6200 2MP Digital CameraThe Kodak EasyShare CX6200 digital camera makes taking great-looking digital pictures wonderfully simple. And it has the power of the Kodak EasyShare system behind it, including the exclusive on-camera Share button and the simple-to-use Kodak EasyShare software. Plus it's compatible with the Kodak EasyShare camera dock 6000 and printer dock 6000. That means printing, e-mailing, and sharing those pictures is just as simple as taking them. I'm quite amazing how good it is for $80. Clear pictures and quick flash. Took a picture of my CPU fan running at 3000 RPM and the picture looked like it wasnt even moving. Just wish it had more internal memory.

Kodak CX7300 3.2 MP Digital Camera

Kodak's compact EasyShare CX7300 is designed for the beginner digital photographer. This fun, reliable point-and-shoot digital camera makes sharing and printing high-quality pictures a snap. It features a 3.2-megapixel resolution--good enough for enlargements up to 11 x 14 inches--a 3x digital zoom, 16 MB internal memory, and compatibility with SD and MCC memory cards. I have taken more than 150 pictures and batteries are OK. Using the internal memory (16MB) the camera allows you to take up to 67 pictures in low resolution and up to 17 in max resolution (you can choose among 4 options of resolutions). However, I don't think the difference is too high. So I always use it in the low resolution. I have also bought a digital flash card of 256MB (SD256M), for $35, and now it allows me to take 306 pics in max resolution and 1184 in low resolution. It is nice. The only problem I see, is that it doesn't record sounds in video recording. Just images (15 secs). Camera is light, works well, and it is all that I expect from a camera. I have had no surprises.

Kodak EasyShare DX7440 4MP Digital Camera with 4x Optical Zoom

Created for the savvy photographer, the Kodak EasyShare DX7440 combines high-performance photographic controls and optics with easy-to-use features for stunning picture quality. It offers a 4 megapixel resolution and a professional quality Schneider-Kreuznach Variogon 4x optical zoom lens, as well as a rapid 0.2-second click-to-capture rating, large 2.2-inch indoor/outdoor LCD screen, 32 MB internal memory, and compatibility with both Secure Digital and MMC memory cards. The software is easy to install and transfer is very simple. I had the box open, battery in and had taken the first few pictures all within 5 minutes of buying it. Battery life is about 45 minutes before you need to recharge (takes about 3 hours or less depending on how much you want it charged). This camera even gives you a snapshot sound (which you can change to music) each time you turn it on or take a picture. The pictures take incredibly fast. You can literally shoot in the moment, not 2 seconds from the moment. The 2.2 inch screen is also a good size to work with. I've found no problems with it at all.

Kodak EasyShare CX7330 3.1MP Digital Camera with 3x Optical Zoom

The Kodak EasyShare CX7330 is ideal for the digital photographer who wants great photos from an easy-to-use camera. The CX7330 offers 3 MP resolution, a 3x optical zoom lens, 16 MB of internal memory, compatibility with SD and MMC memory cards, and a movie mode that continuously captures video up to the full capacity of your card. The camera body is not especially small and all plastic, but (other than the memory card door) feels solid and is comfortable to hold. The controls are very straightforward: choose one of five photo modes, or one movie mode, then press a button to shoot. Since the camera has a good lens and intelligent electronics, the results are generally very good, with much better auto-white balance than on many other comparable cameras. For novices or those who don't have or don't want to use a computer to process their photos, the Share button and available dock and printer could be handy, though they're not for me.

Kodak EasyShare DX6490 4MP Digital Camera with 10X Optical Zoom

This Kodak EasyShare 4MP digital camera merges the precision of a Schhneider-Kreuznach Variogon 10X optical zoom lens with the intelligence of Kodak's new color science image processing chip. The DX6490 is fully loaded with advanced features and is compatible with Kodak's EasyShare system. Features: high-resolution electronic viewfinder; 2.2" LCD screen; manual, semi-manual and auto creative controls; 5 scene modes; audio/video cable; USB cable; neck strap; lens cap with tether; battery charger; Kodak Easyshare software CD with interactive software tutorial; welcome kit and user's guide; and custom camera insert for Kodak EasyShare 6000 Series camera and printer docks. In low-light (without the flash), you will want to use a tripod or set the camera on a steady surface because the slow shutter speed will give result in a blurry picture. The manual settings give you the freedom and versatility to take pictures in all conditions. If there is one thing that I would change it is the amount of time that it takes between pictures. It is better than most cameras, but the Kodak DX6490 is such a top-performer you will expect more. It did not take me long to decide to purchase a 256 MB memory card for the camera. Without it, the camera holds about 15 pictures. With the card I have taken close to 200 pictures over a three-day outting and did not run out of memory or battery power.

Kodak EasyShare DX7630 6MP Digital Camera with 3x Optical Zoom

Kodak's top-of-the-line compact digital camera for 2004, the EasyShare DX7630 features a massive 6-megapixel resolution--good enough for print enlargements up to 30 x 40 inches. It also offers the professional quality Schneider-Kreuznach Variogon 3x optical zoom lens, Kodak's new Color Science image processor, an extra-large 2.2-inch indoor/outdoor LCD, movie mode with audio, rechargeable lithium-ion battery, 32 MB internal memory, and compatibility with SD and MCC memory cards. Though in the beginning, various options indicated on a dial were a little bit confusing, once I became accustomed to it, the selection of any option became almost instinctive. The color it produces is brilliant, and one can take good pictures under almost any circumstances. I have not printed any pictures larger than 8X10, and therefore I can't tell the limit of resolution, but certainly it is good enough for 8X10 enlargement. The only disappointment is that one can not select ISO, shutter speed, or f-stop even in the manual, S-, or A-(aperture priority mode) mode. I don't think I missed these options in the instruction booklet. The instruction booklet, by the way, is not too detaild either. I bought optional macro lenses and an adaptor for the lenses. These lenses take extremely good pictures of a flower pedal, a bud etc. Overall, this is not a camera for professionals, but for everyday photography for recording your lives, it is one fine camera.

Kodak CX7430 4 MP Digital Camera with 3x Optical Zoom

Kodak's EasyShare CX7430 offers high-resolution image capture with fully automatic point-and-shoot simplicity. You'll be able to print vibrant 20 x 30-inch enlargements thanks to the CX7430's resolution. The CX7430 also integrates Kodak's new camera Favorites feature for storing multiple pictures in an on-camera digital photo album. Other features include a 3x optical zoom, Kodak's new Color Science image processing, TV-quality (VGA) video capture and playback capability, an on-camera speaker, 16 MB internal memory, and compatibility with SD and MCC memory cards. the camera has great zoom capabilities and can get you close to the subject you want to photograph. The battery life is very decent, even when the LCD display is being used. The design is both light and small and can definitely go with you anywhere, and the programs Kodak includes in the software bundle make viewing, editing, and emailing pictures a snap. The pictures themselves (When left on Auto mode) are super - the colors and clarity are excellent. I've received very positive feedback about the clarity of the pictures and the smallness of this camera. The memory cards are pretty inexpensive too, especially if you don't buy the Kodak cards. The camera is preloaded for 10 pictures and comes with a nonrechargable battery set, so investing in memory and batteries is a must. Overall, this is an average camera, but I wouldn't recommend it for more advanced users. As a first digi-cam this would be awesome.
